The dataset summarizes state-level health care expenditures produced every five years by the CMS Office of the Actuary as part of the National Health Expenditure Accounts. It reports spending in millions of dollars for all privately and publicly funded personal health care services and products, measured by the state of the provider. Hospital spending reflects net revenue, while administrative costs, research, and construction expenses are excluded.
