DPR Trees

This dataset provides the geographic locations of individual trees throughout Arlington County, Virginia. The dataset is maintained as part of Arlington County's urban forestry and parks management program and supports the inventory, monitoring, preservation, and maintenance of public tree resources.

Each feature represents a single tree and may include information regarding tree species, dimensions, planting and maintenance history, ownership, site characteristics, and special recognitions such as specimen, commemorative, memorial, notable, or Arbor Day trees. The dataset is used to support operational forestry activities, environmental planning, tree canopy management, public outreach, and long-term stewardship of Arlington County's urban forest.

The layer provides a spatially accurate inventory that enables County staff, planners, researchers, and the public to identify tree locations and better understand the composition and distribution of Arlington County's tree resources.
