Loudoun County Big Tree Registry

The Big Tree Registry is a list representing some of the largest trees in Loudoun County. Candidates for the Big Tree Registry qualify based upon three characteristics:

• Tree Height
• Trunk Circumference
• 1/4 of the Average Crown Spread

Once collected, this data is added to create the trees’ total points which are then ranked by species.

Our registry includes big trees on both public and private land. For more information or to nominate a tree please visit The Big Tree Registry.
