PDD Operation Zones

The Personal Delivery Device (PDD) Operation Zones layer contains polygon features representing areas where small autonomous delivery robots are permitted or anticipated to operate within the public right-of-way. PDDs are self-propelled devices that typically travel along sidewalks and crosswalks to provide last-mile delivery services.

This dataset is maintained by Arlington County and will be updated as pilot areas expand, operational parameters change, or new PDD deployments are introduced. Boundaries may evolve based on program evaluation, safety considerations, and infrastructure readiness.
