REA Property Polygons

The REA Property Polygons layer provides the geometric representation of real estate parcels within Arlington County, Virginia. Each polygon represents a parcel boundary that has been captured and maintained from officially recorded property documents. The dataset serves as the County's authoritative GIS representation of parcel geography and supports property assessment, land records management, planning, permitting, infrastructure management, and public information applications.

Each parcel feature contains an RPC Master Parcel ID, which serves as the primary identifier for linking parcel geometry to related property and assessment records. For condominium properties, a single master parcel polygon may represent the overall condominium property. The master parcel ID can then be associated with one or more individual condominium parcel records maintained in County real estate systems.

The layer is intended to provide a consistent, countywide spatial framework for parcel-based analysis, mapping, and integration with other GIS datasets. Common uses include property identification, land development review, asset management, taxation support, planning studies, and geospatial analysis.
