Student Planning Areas

Fairfax County Public Schools may analyze potential school boundary adjustment scenarios by reassigning one or more SPAs from one school to another school. This method allows FCPS to address factors like access to programs, student membership and school capacity, a student’s proximity to schools, and transportation efficiency. SPA boundaries may be adjusted for any reason during a school boundary adjustment study.
